FAQs
A gentle
guide
into the
AYANI
experience.

Is it just a relaxation session?”

Relaxation is just the beginning. I was taught how sound works holistically, attending to all layers of you: physical, emotional, mental, and energetic/soul field. In my sessions, sound works through four approaches:

  • Scientific – vibration affects your cells, organs, and nervous system

  • Holistic – I apply sound to balance your body, emotions, mind, and energy

  • Compassionate – I guide contraction and expansion gently, creating space for your personal healing.

  • Intentional – every instrument, tone, and chant is applied with conscious purpose. Without intention, they’re just tools; with intention, they become medicine.

Does sound healing really work

Yes…though not as a quick fix. Sound works through vibration: every cell, organ, and emotion in your body has its own frequency. When exposed to harmonic sounds, the body naturally re-tunes itself, like an instrument being brought back into tune. Many people feel lighter, clearer, calmer, or deeply rested afterward. It’s not magic, it’s resonance, rhythm, and nervous-system restoration.

Think of it like taking a powerful shower, but in sound. You’re being “washed” in frequencies, clearing tension and stagnant energy. And just like physical hygiene, regular sessions amplify the effect. Those who attend weekly notice a deep, cumulative cleansing , body, mind, and energy.

Is sound healing ‘New Age’ or just a trend?”

I hear this question a lot. And yes, for some, sound healing has become a “New Age” trend. Many people now offer sessions without any certifications, or after only a short course or weekend workshop, with little to no mentorship. True sound healing, however, is a lifelong path, requiring years of study and deep experience under the guidance of skilled teachers.

Sound healing itself is ancient. Long before social media “sound baths,” sacred sound was used in temples, rituals, and healing ceremonies across every culture, from Sufi circles to shamanic gatherings, from monasteries to Indigenous traditions.

At AYANI, sound is both sacred and scientific. From the very beginning, I’ve been deeply immersed in this work, and even now I continually return to my master mentor in Turkey (Sheri Sayar from Naad Sound Therapy Center). I consult with her on questions, difficult cases, share recordings of my sessions, and receive feedback on my playing. This guidance over the years has shaped my growth, sound healing is truly a never-ending study.

What are the sacred chants you sing?”

I sing healing medicine music that I’ve learned directly from Indigenous mentors and shamans in the Amazon since 2020 (Shaman Dasu and Siriani from Huni Kuin tribe). These songs, often called icaros, are ancient healing codes calling on the forces of nature, the sun, moon, forest, ancestors, rivers, birds, waterfalls, animals, angel guides, and the elements.

You don’t need to understand the words, let your mind soften and not analyze so you can feel the vibration. Sometimes I also channel my own intuitive singing, inspired by the person or people present, the energy of the moment, or even the time of day.

I typically accompany the chants sometimes acapella, and sometimes with guitar, shruti box, shakers, ocean drum, rattles, and shamanic drum, creating a rich, living field of sound that moves through the body, mind, and spirit.

I don’t think I need healing right now.”

Sound healing isn’t only for when you’re “broken” or unwell — it’s for realignment and maintenance, like energetic hygiene. It’s a recalibration for those who carry a lot, lead others, or live fast-paced lives. You don’t wait for your car to break down to refuel it, sound healing nourishes your system before depletion begins. Many attend sound sessions as a form of prevention. Sound healing is also an incredible preventive therapy, helping you stay balanced, clear, and connected before imbalance appears.

Is it safe for everyone?

Yes — sound healing is gentle, non-invasive, and completely natural when offered by the right practitioner. I’ve witnessed sessions that can actually be counterproductive: using cheap or poorly tuned instruments, playing too loudly or mindlessly, or focusing only on physical vibration without attending to emotional or energetic needs. Sometimes the techniques lack pauses, silence, or patience, which are essential for the nervous system to integrate the sound.

This is why I approach my work with care, presence, and respect for every person’s body, mind, and spirit. With proper intention, high-quality instruments, and a sensitive, trained practitioner, sound healing is very safe - even for those who are pregnant, autistic, in recovery, or in a coma.

There’s always a short conversation before the session so I can understand your needs and tailor the experience. Children from around age eight to elders of any age are welcome.

Do I need to believe in it

No belief required, just bring an open heart and an open mind. Sound healing works through frequency and vibration, so your nervous system responds whether or not you believe it. Even if your mind is skeptical, the body is listening.

Research shows that sound can influence brainwaves, ease tension, and shift your autonomic nervous system toward balance. Curiosity, openness, and non-judgment simply make it easier for your system to receive, integrate, and benefit from the experience.

Is it worth the investment?

I don’t know about you, but I would pay more for my mental, emotional, and physical wellness — and sound healing works on all those levels at once. The instruments I use are high-quality, unique, and expensive, all imported, none of them available in Lebanon. Setting up the space and tuning everything takes time, intention, and care — every detail matters.

The session is a full alignment for your nervous system, emotions, energy, and mind. Many spend $100 or more on therapy sessions that involve just talking, here, you get something that works on all levels: emotional release, nervous-system reset, inner clarity, deep rest, and creative renewal.

As I want this work to be accessible, I always organize weekly public group sound bath ($20 to$30 per person) so anyone can experience sound healing, even if they can’t afford the 1 on 1 session for 100$. You can also choose a discounted package of three private sessions for deeper work.

How will I feel afterward?

Everyone is different. Some feel deeply rested, grounded, or blissful, others energized or emotional. Your body may continue integrating for days, like waves settling after the tide. Whatever arises, it’s your system returning to harmony.

Many people have shared that after their session, they realized just how much they needed it , even though they didn’t know it beforehand.

What should I wear or bring?

Comfort first. Loose, soft cozy clothing (avoid jeans and belts). Bring a journal and an open heart. I provide super comfy sound healing mats, blankets, eye mask and all instruments.

Sometimes Tibetan bowls make me feel angry. why?

That’s normal. Sound stirs stored energy, emotions, or tension. When frequencies touch blocked areas, or over use areas, release can first feel like irritation, frustration, sadness, or anger. It’s not “wrong”, your system is responding. Over time, the same sound may feel soothing as your body learns to release and receive differently.

How do your sessions work?

Each journey is guided by intuition, not a fixed playlist. I tune into your energy to see what your body needs that day. Instruments are placed to balance, clear, or activate specific frequencies.

Group sessions create collective resonance. Private sessions go deeper, tuned entirely to your vibration.

How often should I come for sessions?”

It depends on your rhythm. Some guests come weekly; others monthly or whenever stress or fatigue arises. Think of it as tuning your instrument, you’ll know when you’re ready.

How does the Sound Healing for Addiction work?

My 21-day program is designed for those ready to commit to change and complement other recovery methods. Using a 5-session Sound Therapy package, I combine Tibetan Bowl Vibro Acoustic Cellular Detox with healing frequencies like Solfeggio tones, binaural beats, and isochronic tones to support full-body and brain detox.

This holistic approach helps reduce dependency on alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and even painkillers by clearing energetic blockages, easing stress, anxiety, and depression, and supporting the body’s natural detoxification process. Beyond physical detox, it promotes relaxation, mental clarity, and emotional well-being, helping you realign with your healing journey in a gentle, supportive way.

Why sound healing instead of therapy, yoga, or other modalities?”

Sound bridges where words and movement can’t. It communicates directly with your body’s frequencies, influencing the nervous system, heart rate, and emotional field. It doesn’t replace other practices, it enhances them.

Why the Sound + Massage + Sleep package?

Healing is layered. Sound balances your energy. Massage relaxes the body. Sleep integrates it all. This trio works on every level: energetic, physical, and emotional, a full reset.

Can I come with my partner, family, friends, or colleagues

Absolutely. Sound healing is powerful when shared. Couple sessions, family circles, or team experiences are designed to harmonize the group while honoring each individual.

Can you come to my home, event, retreat?

Yes! Sound travels and so do I. Private or group journeys can happen at homes, retreats. Each session is adapted to the environment and the people present. Wherever we meet, sound creates its own sanctuary.

Can you come to hospitals or care facilities?

Yes, I bring sound healing directly to hospitals, clinics, and care environments. I’ve worked with people before or after surgery, during recovery, post-chemotherapy, in coma, and even in their final stages of life.

Each session is intentionally tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual or group. The vibrations, instruments, and sacred chants are carefully chosen to support healing, relaxation, clarity, and comfort.

Can you support ceremonies?

Yes. I offer live sound for rituals or gatherings, with or without sacred plant medicines. The music flows with the energy of the circle, moving from soft, heart-opening tones to powerful medicine songs that support deep journeying, emotional release, grounding, and alignment.

NB: AYANI’s Healing Room was designed for deep ceremonial work. If you’d like to host a ceremony or session, please contact me to rent the space.

What makes AYANI Sanctuary unique?

Ayani is the first space in Lebanon dedicated entirely to professional sound healing, not as an add-on to yoga or wellness classes, but as a practice in its own right, because sound healing is powerful on its own.

We also host intimate meditative conscious medicine music concerts, designed to nourish the soul and elevate consciouness and help you connect with your highest self. In a country dominated by clubbing DJ music everywhere, cafes, and resorts, Ayani offers the opposite: intentional, meditative, and ceremonial experiences.

Some concerts are held outdoors in the garden with a stage for 40+ people, while others are indoors, all featuring mystical ceremonial lighting, candles, and a magical atmosphere

Past artists include Odai Basim, Frida, Gaiea Sanskrit, Veer, Pol, Shaman Dasu from the amazon. There is no talking, smoking, or distractions, only presence and resonance. If you perform this type of music, in Lebanon or abroad, please reach out to collaborate.

What’s your birth chart Ayani?

I’m a fiery Aries Sun with deep Pisces water, bold, pioneering, and full of spark, yet deeply intuitive and sensitive. Aries gives me courage, leadership, and a strong sense of justice, which has guided me through founding Ayani and shaping my life’s work.

My Moon and Venus in Pisces make me soft, highly sensitive and attuned to harmony and beauty, and open to subtle energies. I notice things others don’t, feel what’s happening beneath the surface, and bring that awareness into every sound journey.

I’m spontaneous, playful, and childlike, yet disciplined and focused. Over the years, I’ve worked in advertising, in international humanitarian aid with refugees, and now medicine music and sound, blending creativity, empathy, and structure.

Maybe it’s my numerology 11 — a Master Number for insight, intuition, and service — that steered me toward humanitarian work and now to healing others through sound.

Courageous, sensitive, and here to serve — that’s how I show up in the world.
